Contact us.

We Are Here Scotland is a Community Interest Company creating spaces and working with Black and People of Colour in Scotland’s creative industries.

We're an organisation passionate about addressing inequities in the creative sector — but that does not mean you can ask us for unpaid labour. As such, we reserve the right to decline the following:

  • Brain picking, also known as free consulting requests

  • Requests for free labour of any kind, including the emotional labour of being asked to educate you for free

  • Requests to promote organisations or individuals who don't align with our mandate, values, and principles

Promotion and advertising

If you'd like us to share or promote your opportunities on our platforms, our rate is £100 per single post.*

Consultation

If you'd like support on how to make your initiative, programme, or organisation more inclusive, our consulting rates start at £100 per hour. We have an experienced team with backgrounds in journalism, music and the music industries, podcasting, project management, marketing, PR, and creative industries. Rates are available on request.

Collaboration

We're open to collaborating with organisations that share our mandate, values, and principles and are actively challenging inequalities within the creative industries. Due to the size of our team, we do need to prioritise our own projects and events, so please give us as much notice as possible if you'd like to work with us.

Get in touch

If your request or enquiry is a good fit for us, we'll be in touch within 2–3 working days. If you have general questions about We Are Here Scotland, please explore the rest of our website. For anything else, feel free to fill in the contact form below.

*This fee is waived for Black and People of Colour (BPOC) led organisations and communities, grassroots voluntary organisations, independent volunteer-led groups, and sole independent creatives or freelancers who do not have access to organisational funding or budgets for promotional costs. Please note that being registered as a charity does not automatically qualify for a fee waiver. If your organisation receives project funding, programme funding, or core funding that could reasonably cover promotional costs, our standard rate applies. We may ask for confirmation of your status before agreeing to share content free of charge.
