  • Join us for an eclectic night of artistic exploration and expression! Intertwining spoken word, music, comedy and dance. The cabaret will showcase spoken word, music, and dance. The cabaret showcases the talents of dancer Kristin Weichen Wong, spoken word artist Phoenix Archer, rising comedian Ayo Adenekan and the innovative music of Tehillah Sihlabela, known as 1000Trees. Top it all off with some delicious food courtesy of some special guests and this is sure to be an evening to nourish the soul.

Born and raised in Taiwan, Kristin is an Edinburgh-based performer and artist in theatre, dance and music. While she got her training as a music theatre performer, she developed a keen interest in story-telling through combined arts, including dance, theatrical movement, voice, text, and music. Kristin arrived in the UK at the end of 2020 and since then she’s been nourished by the rich performing arts scene in Scotland. Kristin recently appeared in the repertory season (2023) of Gypsy the musical, Brief Encounter, and A Streetcar Named Desire at Pitlochry Festival Theatre. Being a performer with multiple disciplines enable Kristin to employ these skills (acting, dancing, singing and instrument playing) as a creative artist. Some of her recent participation in site-specific performance and projects as composer and dance artist include, Weaving Webs in Motion (2023) at Loch Faskally, Pitlochry; Oblique, Open, Filtered, Framed (2022) at Fruitmarket, Edinburgh; Space, Nature, Nurture (2021) Residency at Jupiter Artland, Edinburgh; Field- Something for the Future Now (2021) at Edinburgh International Festival. With the support of Creator Fund from We Are Here Scotland as well as Creative Development Bursary from Edinburgh City Council, Kristin is able to develop her own autobiographic work Born This WEI in 2022.
